I completely agree. The times I reflect on the most when making key decisions are the ones that I learned while in community. I think this is especially true in context of intense discipleship. This paradigm certainly is more challenging for the individual that is facilitating the education. It demands a capacity and willingness to ask good (often difficult) questions for the sake of digestion and God-discovery. Asking good questions results in a refined process (the ultimate goal) as opposed to rote memorization. I don't believe education is about a, b, c, or d. It is about the process between the end of the question mark and the unique answer that each student should be able to intelligently design.

New in this context is "new to us." The shifts you describe are not new but simply a return to the teaching methodology utilized by the Master Teacher. Another example of where we're waking up to the understanding that the wisdom of man is not the better way. Will we ever learn?
